The sacred inner relics destined for the monumental Project 108 have officially entered their final preparation stage, with the Zhung Dratshang announcing that approximately ninety-nine percent of the intricate Zung preparation work is now successfully completed. This milestone marks a significant step forward for the initiative, as a solemn twenty-one-day consecration practice is currently underway to bless the holy materials before they are permanently enshrined inside the one hundred and eight Jangchub Chortens on the first of November. This sacred consecration ceremony is being led by former Drabi Lopen Sangay Dorji, alongside respected Drubpoens from Chari Monastery and various meditation centers located across the country. According to Khenpo Tashi Tshering, just as communities perform Rabney or consecration rituals upon completing important residential or structural projects, performing this rigorous spiritual blessing for the inner relics is essential to honor their profound religious significance. As the spiritual ceremonies progress, the project continues to inspire profound devotion among local citizens, drawing numerous pilgrims and worshippers from various regions of the country. Devotees have been travelling long distances to contribute their own personal offerings, including sacred statues, monetary donations, and other valued items to be integrated as part of the Zung. Local residents and participants, such as Zomkey from Gelephu and Mani Bomzing from Thimphu, have expressed deep spiritual fulfillment, noting that taking part in such a noble initiative championed by His Majesty The King offers everyone a rare opportunity to accumulate spiritual merit, support a vision dedicated to the welfare of all sentient beings, and feel profoundly blessed. Running concurrently with the final stages of the consecration process, the remaining minor preparation tasks are expected to wrap up seamlessly, ensuring that the sacred relics are fully prepared and properly enshrined within the stupas ahead of the grand consecration ceremony scheduled for the beginning of November, which will mark a historic celebration of faith, unity, and spiritual devotion across the entire nation.
