Chief Justice of India Surya Kant met with the King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, to offer significant support in the technical assistance and implementation of best practices for the digitalisation of judicial processes in Bhutan. Following this meeting, the Chief Justice also convened with Bhutan’s Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay, to explore avenues for enhancing judicial cooperation, advancing legal education, leveraging technology, and strengthening bilateral relations between India and Bhutan. This engagement highlights India’s commitment to fostering judicial efficiency and collaboration in the Himalayan region.
