Bhutan has been selected to host the 2025 South Asian Tourism Summit, aimed at promoting sustainable tourism and regional cooperation.

Officials from Bhutan’s Tourism Council stated that the summit will bring together leaders from Bangladesh, Nepal, India, and Sri Lanka to discuss eco-friendly tourism models. Bhutan, known for its “high-value, low-impact” tourism philosophy, hopes to inspire neighboring countries to balance tourism growth with environmental protection.

This summit is expected to boost regional travel collaboration, including prospects for cross-border tourism initiatives beneficial for all South Asian nations.
