Bhutan YDF has teamed up with ABE Global Ltd. to introduce the globally recognized KidsMBA entrepreneurship program with the theme “Educate Kids to Innovate Bhutan” in an effort to foster a new generation of social entrepreneurs. The program’s goal is to give young people practical entrepreneurial skills and the attitude they need to succeed in the fast-paced business world. An independent company, ABE Global Ltd., operates its KidsMBA program in more than 30 countries and is acknowledged internationally by sites like Forbes. According to the YDF director, the KidsMBA program is a winter enrichment program that gives students a useful way to spend their vacation time while fostering 21st century skills. He emphasized the value of encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation in younger generations, which has historically prioritized adults.

Participants will be led through 16 modules by two certified trainers who have received training in the ABE curriculum. Today marked the start of the first group of 25 students, who each paid Nu 10,000 at a discounted rate. On January 25, student teams will compete in a pitching competition where they will showcase their business concepts to a panel of professionals. Cash awards, assistance with business incubation, and mentorship from Innovate Bhutan will be given to the two winning teams. Additionally, the first-place team will earn a spot in Krya Global’s ICIA 2025 in Vietnam. With the goal of empowering 1,000 young social entrepreneurs by 2030, YDF has trained 400 youth and provided support for 25 social enterprise concepts.
