The government has identified Yoeseltse and Samrang as the most suitable sites for new airstrips, following technical feasibility studies evaluating seven potential locations across the country. The MP inquired about selection criteria, local government involvement, and future site reassessment plans for Yoeseltse and Samrang airstrips, based on favorable topography, weather conditions, unimpeded airspace, and operational requirements. The Prime Minister’s directive mandates feasibility studies for airstrips at five strategic locations, with no plans for a second-phase assessment of other sites.
