The RENEW Community Service Centre in Gelephu organised a Summer Youth Engagement Programme for students from Classes VII to XII, equipping them with essential life skills that support the vision of Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC).
The programme featured interactive sessions on teamwork, gender awareness, anti-bullying, mental well-being, leadership, and creativity. Through activities such as role plays, group discussions, storytelling, and team challenges, participants developed communication, empathy, resilience, and problem-solving skills in a safe and inclusive learning environment.
A key focus was raising awareness about bullying and promoting emotional well-being, with guidance from a clinical counsellor. Students also explored leadership through creative projects and collaborative activities, reinforcing values of respect, cooperation, and social responsibility.
Aligned with GMC’s vision of fostering well-being and responsible citizenship, the initiative highlighted the importance of empowering young people with the confidence, compassion, and skills needed to contribute positively to their communities.
