Chinese President Xi Jinping has announced that 100,000 young Americans will be invited to China for exchange and study programs over the next five years. This announcement, made by Xi at the White House on Thursday, follows a similar pledge made in 2023 to invite 50,000 young Americans for exchange and study over a five-year period—a target that was achieved ahead of schedule this year.
Xi said, “The hope for China-US relations lies in our people, and their future depends on the youth. I am pleased to invite 100,000 young Americans to China for exchange and study over the next five years.”
