India and Japan reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their strategic and economic partnership during the India-Japan Strategic Dialogue hosted by NDTV. The high-level forum brought together policymakers, diplomats, business leaders and industry experts to discuss opportunities for expanding cooperation across trade, technology, defence and cultural exchanges. Addressing the gathering, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said Japan remains firmly committed to investing in India, reflecting the growing confidence of Japanese businesses in the country’s economic potential and reform-driven growth.

The event featured several distinguished speakers, including Daikin India Chairman and Managing Director Kanwal Jeet Jawa, India’s Ambassador to Japan Nagma Mallick, Comic Con India founder Jatin Varma, and other prominent personalities from government and industry. Discussions focused on enhancing bilateral trade, promoting innovation, strengthening supply chains, advancing clean technologies and encouraging greater people-to-people engagement between the two nations.
