The government is taking steps to create jobs and give young people long-term professional skills in order to combat the rising rate of youth unemployment. Lyonpo Namgyal Dorji says this is a positive sign of development and that the government is starting several targeted initiatives to boost youth employment. More than 4,300 young people have signed up for employment opportunities through a variety of programs, such as the De-Suung Skilling Program and the youngsters Engagement and Livelihood Program, which will assist 2,043 and 8,860 youngsters, respectively.

By offering training and reintegration services, the De-Suung Skilling Program and the National Reintegration Program are tackling youth unemployment. They are also working with businesses and the private sector to provide employment support. The Employment Service Center has about 4,000 registered users, and the Bhutan Entrepreneur Fund helps young entrepreneurs by giving them financial support to combat youth unemployment.
